Gerardo Tiscareño Castro

Founder & Consultant

Hi, my name is Gerardo Tiscareño Castro, and I'm from Aguascalientes, a small city in central Mexico. I grew up in a very large, close-knit family — my cousins are like siblings! Mexican culture taught me the art of hospitality, where inviting someone to your table is like opening your heart. Cooking, eating, and entertaining became my love language, which is what drove me to pursue a career in hospitality.

I was incredibly fortunate to study at the Glion Institute of Higher Education in Switzerland, earning my BA in hospitality with a focus on Sales and Marketing. My final internship in Geneva was the epitome of classical hospitality training—think of it as the ballet for a hotelier.

​

My career then took me to New York City in 2014, and it was love at first sight! I was instantly captivated by the lights, the diversity and the buzzing energy. I never looked back! I've had the amazing opportunity to work in some incredible establishments, from lifestyle corporate hotels to ultra-luxury properties in the Upper East Side, and from bustling French bistros in midtown Manhattan to charming neighborhood seafood spots in the West Village.

In 2024, I made a pivotal decision: I left hotel operations to launch my own consulting business; GTC Consulting. My commitment to excellence is at the core of everything I do, and it's my top priority as a consultant. I want to help hotel owners and operators work smarter, not harder, as well as assist them in leading from a place of care and kindness!
